On May 4, 2022, the regularly-meeting academic seminar on foreign-language teaching methodology of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Theology discussed topics in linguodidactics.
On May 2, 2022, the Very Rev. Prof. Georgy Orekhanov (1962–2020), Vice-Rector of STOUH for International Affairs, would have turned 60. His life was unexpectedly short, but bright, active, and extremely full, defined everywhere by service: in the Church, in his family, in interaction with friends, in teaching, and in science.<br> On this day of remembrance of our dear Father Georgy, we are publishing the reminiscences of STOUH’s Rector and the words of five colleagues and friends of Father Georgy’s who expressed what countless people who loved him feel after his passing: “the presence of Father Georgy is more palpable than his absence.”
On April 27–29, 2022 Moscow hosted the 2nd S. F. Goncharenko International Academic Conference on “The High Art of Translation” organized by Moscow State Linguistic University together with the not-for-profit Translation Institute, the Ibero-American Cultural Centre of the Margarita Rudomino All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature, and the International University Centre for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (CUNEAC), and coincided with the 80th anniversary of the translation department of Moscow State Linguistic University.

On April 21, 2022, a conference was held on the issues of youth development in China and Russia. The meeting was organized in a hybrid format (in person and online). Participants from Moscow were in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, communicating with representatives of Russian regions and with Chinese partners via video.

On February 3, 2022, the second session of STOUH’s Open Seminar of the Department of Eastern Christian Philology and Eastern Churches was held, as part of the work of the research group on “Greco-Byzantine and Latin Heritage in the Ethno-confessional Traditions of the Christian East: From Preservation to Creative Development”.
On January 25, 2022, at the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies of the Theological Faculty, a roundtable discussi0on took place on “From abstract knowledge to the intuition of universality. Semyon Frank’s ‘Subject of Knowledge’ in the context of the reception and representation of epistemological ideas”. The event was part of the winter session of STOUH’s 32nd Annual Theological Conference.
On January 20, 2022, as part of the 32nd Annual Theological Conference at Saint Tikhon’s Orthodox University of the Humanities (STOUH), Very Rev. Dr. Oleg Davydenkov, Head of Department of Eastern Christian Philology and Eastern Churches at STOUH, chaired a conference section on “History and Literature of the Christian East”.
The section took place from January 21–22 in STOUH’s conference hall in a hybrid format. All in all, 23 talks were given by scholars from Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov Veliky) and other countries (Germany, Greece, China, and Armenia).
On December 28–29, 2020, virtual sessions of an Orthodox Open Seminar organized by the German Diocese of the Russian Church Abroad were held.
